We are currently seeking a Full-time Veterinary Nurse who is highly motivated and passionate to join our team at Oxley Highway Vet Hospital!

Oxley Highway Vet Hospital is located in Port Macquarie, at the mouth of the Hastings River on the mid-NSW North Coast. What We’re Looking For:

  • Cert IV Vet Nurse or equivalent qualification.

  • Strong experience in nursing and handling a variety of cases.

  • A positive attitude and excellent communication skills.

  • A genuine passion for animal care and a commitment to providing the best service to our clients and their pets.

  • The ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-energy environment.

About The Role

  • Provide exceptional customer care and education to our clients

  • Support our Vets with routine examinations, diagnostics and procedures

  • Manage the admission and discharge of surgical and hospital cases

  • Provide surgical and hospital nursing including monitoring anaesthetics

  • Conduct blood collection and testing, iv catheter placement

  • Prepare and administer medications as required

  • Assist with x-rays, ultrasounds and dental procedures

  • Maintain surgical and treatment areas infection control

  • Provide pre and post compassionate care to hospitalised cases

  • General day to day nursing duties.
