Dr Jill McAlister

Meet Dr Jill! One of our friendly and experienced veterinarians in the Oxley Highway Vet team. Originally from Sydney, Dr Jill made the move to sunny Port Macquarie in early 2024 with her husband and is excited to become part of the local community.

Dr Jill graduated from the University of Sydney in 1982 (she kindly asks that you don’t try to do the math!). She brings with her a wealth of knowledge after spending many years working in small animal practice, including the last 20 years at Hornsby Vet Hospital. With decades of experience, Dr Jill is passionate about providing thoughtful, high-quality care to every patient she meets.

Outside of the clinic, Dr Jill enjoys getting out in the garden, tackling a good puzzle, and cheering on the mighty Sydney Swans in the AFL.

Fun fact: Dr Jill’s dog, Twitch, made the big move to Port Macquarie with her and is already loving the coastal lifestyle.
