Dr Zarah Vermeulen

Meet Dr Zarah! Dr Zarah brings a unique and diverse background to our veterinary team, with experience spanning everything from African wildlife and rugged rural practice to companion animal care here in Australia. After graduating from the Onderstepoort Faculty of Veterinary Science in 2022, Zarah worked with an incredible range of species, including rhinos and elephants, as well as avian and reptile patients, before finding her place in Australian small animal practice.

Zarah has a particular interest in soft tissue surgery and is passionate about delivering high-quality, compassionate care tailored to each individual patient and family. She values building genuine relationships with clients and believes in meeting people where they are at, creating realistic care plans that prioritise both patient welfare and quality of life.

When she’s not in clinic, Zarah loves slowing down with lazy days in bed alongside her pets and a good TV series, spending time in nature, and heading out for walks with her Dalmatian Domino.

Fun fact: Whether it’s wildlife, farm animals, or beloved pets, Zarah has a soft spot for just about every creature she meets.
